US.2CZA.29 you can download the files (for spelling, hyphenation and thesaurus) and unzip them into your dict-en.oxt, reboot your computer and start up OO and voila, you have a working spellcheck.Īgain, definitely a problem with the installation routine, one that I think must get missed a lot because the OO 3 Beta will use dictionaries from previous versions if they're around. In other words, en_US.dic was missing, as was en_US.aff (not recalling with certainty about others mentioned below) In my install, the files for US English were missing (always was the case after repeated installations on different computers, so it wasn't anything I was doing!). Last edited by Hagar Delest on Wed 11:14 pm, edited 1 time in total. Sometimes, because of problems like these, I wish I still used Microsoft Office. The "first" of these ( 8F.tmp_ on my laptop) will have a subfolder named dict-en.oxt and within that you should find a bunch of dictionary files for English. OpenOffice Writer, version 3.4.1 on Windows 7 Home, is underlining every word in red, as if they were all misspelled I never updated it, as far as I know. tmp_ and begin with some numeric-alphabetic combination (for example, right now on my laptop they are 8F.tmp_, 91.tmp_ and 93.tmp_ but they are different on my desktop so the naming varies with the installation). If you look in C:\Program Files\ 3\share\uno_packages\cache\uno_packages there will be 3 folders that end in. But when it's not, there's nothing there for it to use. If, for example, 2.4 is still around, I think that maybe 3.0 Beta will fall back on it's dictionary. I think it shows up if, like me, you deleted any and all prior versions of OO. There is definitely a problem with OO 3 Beta and the installation of the English (US) dictionary. Apache OpenOffice 4.1.13 on Xubuntu 22.04.1 LTS. I struggled for 4 days with the same thing before resolving it. Do the appdata fix, renaming the existing user folder to user.old, so that you can bring forward any existing customisation, although much of this may have been lost in the corruption of the user profile, as indicated by the red underlining.

To finish, pull or carve the pork up and serve with the fennel, shallots and vegetables of choice.ĭrizzle over the cider sauce and add a good dollop of the apple and blackberry sauce to the plate. Reduce the cider in the saucepan on the hob by half and check for seasoning. You should have a good amount of cider liquor left over, so strain through a sieve into a saucepan and reserve the soft fennel and shallot (discard the sage). When the pork is soft and tender, remove from the oven and tray and check the skin - you might need to cut the skin off, turn the oven up and put back in to crackle up for another 20 minutes. Add a good handful of blackberries to the mix, stir through and put to one side. Whilst still warm, add the butter to apples and season with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper and rough up with a fork. To make the sauce, simply peel off the skins and slice in the middle to remove the core and pips and put the cooked apple into a bowl They will be quite soft and mushy, so you might get some skin and 'bits' in the final mix but no matter. Place the apples whole, on a separate tray, and pop them in at the same time. Pour in the cider, so that it reaches halfway up the pork and then place into the oven to slowly cook for 3-4 hours. Simply too many to mention, but Chuck has one really cool scene, imagine the Quicksilver slo-mo scene from Days of Future Past. The attack on Piggy Island is actually really fucking entertaining, it's definitely got a lot of action, which was surprising, but I thought the third act of the movie has some of the more inspired bits in the entire movie. And, really, once the birds go to Piggy Island, very creative names too, is when the movie really hits its stride. And that really helped, when I came back to the movie, it didn't bother me as much. But, at that point, I was feeling a little tired and I shut the movie off and I went to sleep for a bit and continued it in the morning. There's parts of the film, when the pigs arrive but before they leave with the birds' eggs, where I just felt that it was getting long in the tooth and they needed to get to the point. I will say, however, that I felt that this was just a little bit too long of a movie. I wouldn't necessarily call this a smart movie, not even close, but it's not dumbed-down to where you still can't find some enjoyment from it. The problem with that approach comes in the fact when those films dumb themselves down, like Turbo, to make it so kids can enjoy them. Honestly, this was a film made for kids and kids alone, not that parents can't enjoy the film, but the way it was structured, to the animation, to the humor seems like it was designed to appeal strictly to kids. And there's nothing wrong with that at all, of course, but that's just what it felt like. Of course, I'm not trying to suggest, that even on its own merits, that it's a great movie and, realistically speaking, this feels more like a TV movie for Nickelodeon than anything else. Of course, it doesn't even come close to some of Pixar's or Dreamworks' best, but it's fast-paced and it's got so much shtick that a lot of them ended up hitting while also having a lot of misses, so, yes, I ended up enjoying this. And, yes, you saw that rating right, I actually enjoyed this movie. So it's understandable that the movie took a while to come out. But I do realize that films are difficult to make and there's negotiations, the writing and revising of the script, pre-production, the actual production, post-production etc, etc, etc. If this movie came out in 2013-14, it would've been even more successful, because the app was still at its peak of success. I will say, however, that the movie is a couple of years too late in terms of cashing in on the massive success of the game. The app literally has no story, so the film could really be just about anything, so it actually made perfect sense in that you didn't have a pre-established universe that you could do very little with like in other game franchises, like Doom, Halo or Mass Effect. A lot of people wondered why you'd make a movie based on a smartphone/tablet app, but it really made perfect sense. Maybe saying that's the wrong term to use, since it was still popular, but it was on the downward slope of its popularity. And this was at the time when the game's popularity was already past its peak. I played it for that period of time and I erased it and I've never played it again. I remember going through a phase like two years ago where I got hooked on the game for, say, 2 weeks. That's how popular the game was at its peak. I think that 85% of people who have ever owned a smartphone and tablet, at one point or another, has played Angry Birds. As the swine begin to get under his skin, Red joins forces with Chuck and Bomb to investigate the real reason behind their mysterious arrival. Red becomes even more agitated when his feathered brethren welcome green pigs to their island paradise. His temperament leads him to anger management class, where he meets fellow misfits Chuck (Josh Gad) and Bomb. Flightless birds lead a mostly happy existence, except for Red (Jason Sudeikis), who just can't get past the daily annoyances of life. Non-slip tile of course greatly limits this possibility.
